10. Google API Services and Google Calendar Data
WeblioHub allows users to connect their Google Calendar accounts to provide appointment scheduling and calendar synchronization features.
Google Data We Access
When a user explicitly connects their Google Calendar account, WeblioHub may access limited Google Calendar data necessary to provide the requested scheduling functionality. This may include:
- The list of calendars available in the connected Google account, so the user can select which calendar to use.
- Free/busy availability information, so WeblioHub can display available appointment times and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Calendar event data necessary to create, update, and manage appointments scheduled through WeblioHub.
WeblioHub only accesses Google Calendar data after the user explicitly authorizes the integration through Google's OAuth consent process.
How We Use Google Data
Google Calendar data is used solely to provide and maintain user-facing scheduling functionality requested by the user. This includes checking calendar availability, displaying available appointment times, selecting a calendar, and creating, updating, or cancelling calendar events associated with appointments made through WeblioHub.
Sharing and Transfer of Google Data
WeblioHub does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes. Google Calendar data is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. Data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf only where necessary to operate the WeblioHub service and subject to appropriate data protection and confidentiality obligations.
AI and Machine Learning
Google Workspace API data obtained through Google Calendar is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. WeblioHub does not transfer Google Workspace API data to third-party AI or machine learning services for the purpose of training generalized AI or ML models.
Data Storage, Security and Protection
WeblioHub applies appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect Google user data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to Google Calendar data is limited to the functionality necessary to provide the integration authorized by the user. Authentication credentials and access tokens are handled securely and are not exposed to other WeblioHub users.
Data Retention and Deletion
Google Calendar data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the connected scheduling functionality or as required by applicable law. Users may disconnect their Google Calendar integration at any time. When the integration is disconnected, WeblioHub will no longer access the user's Google Calendar through that authorization. Users may also request deletion of their associated personal data by contacting info@webliohub.com.
