Cookie Policy Setup

A GDPR-ready cookie consent banner with category-based opt-in, design customization, and a built-in analytics report. Requires the IO package.

Prerequisites

The Cookie Policy widget is locked behind the IO feature. Upgrade to any paid plan that includes IO to unlock it.

1. Create the widget

Dashboard → Settings → Cookie Policy → Create.

2. Configure categories

• Necessary — always on, cannot be disabled.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.
• Marketing — Meta Pixel, Google Ads, etc.
• Functional — chat, video embeds, A/B tests.

3. Behavior

• Banner position (bottom / top / centered modal)
• Auto-block scripts until consent is given
• Consent persistence: 24 hours by default
• Anti-adblocker class names baked in

4. Embed the script

Paste as high as possible in <head> so it loads before any tracking script:

5. Review the report

Dashboard → Cookie Policy Report shows consent rates, page visibility (capped at 600s), and bot-filtered traffic so you only see real-user analytics.

Subscription note

If your IO subscription expires, the banner stops rendering on visitor sites until you renew. Existing consent data is preserved.
